Day Four of Lent: Amazing Grace‏

Day Four of Lent

Hello Brothers and sisters,

It is my hope and prayers that the good Lord is giving us the strength to to overcome our weaknesses so that we can understand the importance of true fasting this lent. Each an everyone has to make an individual effort to examine themselves and decide what they will like to give up during this period. Also remember that you can never do this on your own but the good Lord will always help you if you can call on him.
Let us always and everywhere give thanks to Christ our Savior, and ask him with confidence: Lord, help us with your grace.May we keep our bodies pure, as temples of the Holy Spirit.May we offer ourselves this morning to the service of others,  and do your will in all things throughout the day.May we continue to ask God to forgive us but most of all may we forgive those who have offended us.
Never expect forgiveness from God when you are unable to forgive someone who has wronged you. When you pray the "Our Father",let the words sink into your hearts so that what comes out of your mouth will not be contrary to what the Lord's prayer states.
Make a commitment this lent to pray for a special person whom you believe you cannot forgive. Consistently ask for God's grace and wisdom so that the Lord can give you the strength to forgive this person. Forgiveness is never complete when you do not let the person know. I have often heard people saying "Oh, I have forgiven this or that person and have moved on" and yet part of this forgiveness is expressed by not talking to the person. You bet, God has no businesses with such definitions/actions. God is always ready to forgive us. May we in turn forgive each other 70 times 7 as the bible states.

Loving creator,I am not asking to overcome my weakness, but to use it in some way to glorify you.Let me be aware of the many ways you reach out to help me today and let me stand in awe of the power that you use in such loving ways.

May you be filled with the Holy spirit and remember that the Amazing Grace of God has brought you this far. You can come back to him again by accepting that he is God and you must obey him even when certain things don't make sense.

The Readings: Isaiah 58: 9b-14; Psalm 86: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6; Luke 5: 27-32

Sorry for the delay today and may the Lord bless you.
