Day Thirty Three of Lent: Order My steps‏

Day Thirty Three of Lent: Order My steps

Hello brothers and sisters,

The “hour” is drawing near for the Son of Man to be glorified. Whoever loves his life loses it,and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. The hour of victory over death is drawing near. What a blessing that everything that is happening is for our sake. What a blessing that Christ was willing and ready to go through this hour so that HIS father's name will be glorified. Let's think about this hour for a moment and reflect on magnitude of Love that Christ had for us. In a short while from now, we will be celebrating Palm Sunday and shortly after that, it will be Easter. Are we prepared to partake in this great banquet? The last paragraph of Gospel from the book of John states "And when I am lifted up from the earth,I will draw everyone to  myself."He said this indicating the kind of death he would die.Jesus is certainly on a mission to draw all men unto him. Are we ready to follow him? What are the obstacles that are still holding us back? Can we focus on these obstacles during these last days and overcome them  so that we will be ready to rise with Jesus? This is an individual call and we all need to reflect as individuals and determine whether we are for the Lord or against the lord.

Heavenly father, we beg for the graces we need and desire this week. We ask for courage in the journey ahead. We know it is not an easy journey and we continue to ask for your mercy to help us stay focused. We know that our hearts need to be clean to accept you.Show us how to unlock our hearts so that we are less selfish. Throughout this Lenten journey, we have learned about your love for us and the need to reconcile with one another and forgive one another just as you forgave us. May our hearts be ready and willing to obey your word so that we can gain eternal joy. Accept our prayers in Jesus name. Amen.

The Readings: Jeremiah 31:31-34; Psalm 51; Hebrews 5:7-9; John 12:20-33

Order My steps

May the Lord order our steps as we continue in our Lenten Journey. May we always be reminded to do God's will and not our will so that God can take Glory.
